Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to ensure 24/7 operational security.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our network infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, coordinating with IT teams to contain and eradicate threats swiftly.
- Enforce and maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2 to mitigate legal and financial risk.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive security awareness training programs for employees to foster a "security-first" culture.
- Research emerging cyber threats and propose proactive measures to enhance our defense architecture.
- Manage and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of proven experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network defense.
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and log analysis.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
