Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalous activity
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic analysis of security events
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Prepare incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Generate comprehensive security reports for leadership and compliance teams
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends (MITRE ATT&CK Framework)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Hands-on experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats
- Experience with vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Nessus)
