Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk, SIEM, and EDR platforms
- Lead incident response for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day exploits
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure
- Develop threat intelligence reports for executive stakeholders
- Implement and optimize NIST 800-53 security controls
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior analysts and drive security awareness initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in SOC/IR roles
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification (required)
- Expertise in MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat hunting
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or security automation tools
- Experience with AWS/Azure security services and cloud IAM
- Strong understanding of GDPR/CCPA compliance requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
