Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach containment efforts
- Analyze network traffic to detect anomalies and malicious activity
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
