Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality and user experience.
- Identify, document, and track software defects (bugs) using JIRA and other tracking tools, providing clear reproduction steps to the development team.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on product feasibility.
- Automate repetitive manual test scenarios using industry-standard tools to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility across various platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve our QA processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries to validate database integrity and data accuracy.
- Experience with at least one automation tool (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and daily stand-ups.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think critically about edge cases.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively report findings and articulate technical concepts.
