Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and document incident response procedures, including root cause analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Perform user access reviews and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and firmware updates.
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, or CrowdStrike.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+) are a significant plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
