Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Implement firewall rules, access controls, and encryption protocols
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain security best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- 1+ years of hands-on security monitoring or incident response experience
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and system architectures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid U.S. driver's license (client site visits required)
