Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, root causes, and coordinate remediation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Conduct forensic analysis during security breaches and cyber incidents
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
