Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalous network activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Investigate security breaches using forensic tools and incident response protocols
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness training programs
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection
- Experience with NIST frameworks and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams
