Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate and document security incidents following established protocols
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist in compliance audits for regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Experience with incident response procedures and malware analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
