Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and document incident response playbooks for emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic investigations on security incidents and data breaches
- Stay current with evolving threat landscapes and compliance requirements (NIST, HIPAA)
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical alerts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits
