Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for optimal performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure connectivity.
- Perform regular network audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Provide tier-2 technical support and training to end-users regarding network hardware and connectivity issues.
- Document network infrastructure diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
- Manage and maintain server hardware and storage systems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement cloud solutions and improve network efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Ability to lift and move network hardware equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
