We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Network Technician to join our team in Baton Rouge. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Perform regular network audits and security updates to protect sensitive data.
- Assist in the design and implementation of network infrastructure upgrades and new hardware.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and training to end-users regarding network connectivity.
- Manage cabling infrastructure, including fiber and copper cabling, ensuring compliance with standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Valid CCNA or equivalent networking certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Proficiency in configuring Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Ability to lift equipment and work in various physical environments as required.
