Responsibilities
- Network Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Hardware Installation: Install, configure, and patch network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Perform physical network cabling, termination (fiber and copper), and rack-and-stack duties.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network topology, configurations, and changes for compliance and auditing.
- Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for end-users regarding network-related software and hardware issues.
- Security: Assist in implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect sensitive data.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in network administration, support, or a related IT field.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and DHCP protocols.
- Tools: Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds) and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
