Role Overview:
The Network Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure. You will work closely with the systems engineering team to ensure high availability and performance for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network hardware and software.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes accurately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new network solutions and security protocols.
- Conduct cabling, patching, and physical infrastructure management in data centers and server rooms.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Valid CCNA or equivalent networking certification is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with network security best practices and firewalls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
