Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and security patches to ensure network integrity.
- Monitor network performance and analyze traffic logs to identify potential bottlenecks or security threats.
- Assist in the design and implementation of structured cabling and wireless network solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network connectivity issues.
- Document all network configurations and changes according to IT best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Valid CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper networking equipment is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical staff members.
