The Role:
As a Network Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of our network. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software. We value self-starters who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform routine network audits, system checks, and preventive maintenance to ensure system health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts efficiently.
- Document network configurations, changes, and updates using ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Assist in the deployment of new network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement security protocols and backup strategies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCNP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with cabling (Cat6, fiber optics) and network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Dell).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
