Responsibilities
- First-Level Support: Provide exceptional technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Ticket Management: Log, track, and manage all IT support requests using the Service Desk ticketing system (Zendesk/Jira), ensuring SLAs are met.
- Hardware & Software Deployment: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
- Network Administration: Assist in maintaining local area network (LAN) integrity, including cable management, patching, and basic router configuration.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower users with best practices for technology usage.
- Security Compliance: Enforce IT security policies, manage access controls, and assist in the deployment of antivirus and security patches.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party vendors for hardware repairs and maintenance contracts.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and cloud services (Azure/GCP).
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into plain English.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a significant plus.
