Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Assist with network security protocols and basic firewall management
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Provide Tier 1 support to internal users via ticketing system and phone
- Collaborate with senior technicians on network upgrades and expansions
- Participate in regular maintenance schedules and system updates
- Adhere to ITIL best practices for incident management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (college coursework in IT preferred)
- CompTIA Network+ or similar certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site visits
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
