Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct preliminary triage and analysis of security incidents to determine severity and scope.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support on internal networks.
- Document incident reports, findings, and security posture in compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with network engineering and DevOps teams to resolve configuration issues.
- Stay updated on the latest threat intelligence and security trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus, but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
