We are urgently hiring driven individuals to join our elite cybersecurity team in Virginia! At Apex Security Solutions, we believe that passion is the most critical skill in cybersecurity. We are looking for Junior Security Analysts who have zero prior experience but possess a strong desire to learn and protect digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Systems: Assist in the real-time monitoring of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to identify potential threats and suspicious activities.
- Incident Response Support: Participate in the triage and logging of security incidents, escalating critical issues to senior analysts immediately.
- Network Analysis: Analyze network traffic logs and firewall data to detect anomalies and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Patch Management: Support the identification and documentation of software vulnerabilities and patching schedules.
- User Access Control: Help manage and verify user access levels to ensure the principle of least privilege is maintained.
- Compliance Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly security reports for internal stakeholders.
- Security Awareness: Assist in educating end-users on best practices for cybersecurity hygiene.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required. We are looking for self-starters willing to learn.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking fundamentals.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, logical problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours (40 hours/week) and be fully remote within the United States.
- Certifications: Security+ or CompTIA Network+ certification is a strong plus but not required for entry.
