Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Assist in implementing security controls and best practices across cloud and on-premise environments
- Document security incidents, remediation actions, and maintain compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure adherence to NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Participate in security awareness training and incident response drills
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification preferred (willing to train)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and firewalls
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in threat detection
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
