About the Role:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using advanced SIEM tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA and NIST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and coordinate with internal teams to mitigate risks and resolve security breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage firewall rules and configure network security appliances to enforce security policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate security frameworks through audits and reporting.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees to reduce human error.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or incident response.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and database security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
