Responsibilities
- Monitor security events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and analyze potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR regulations
- Document security incidents, forensic findings, and remediation actions in detail
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, AlienVault)
- Knowledge of network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly
