Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across enterprise infrastructure during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability scans and patch management for weekend system updates
- Collaborate with on-call engineers to mitigate threats during off-peak hours
- Document incident reports and security findings for forensic analysis
- Participate in weekend penetration testing and security audits
- Provide after-hours security briefings to leadership teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or SOC roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (CrowdStrike, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional on-site emergencies
