Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate potential security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Implement and maintain firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and endpoint protections
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed incident response reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidents and system patching
- Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations focus
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security architecture
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend shift environments
