Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems during weekend shifts (Fri-Sun 12am-8am)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, malware, and potential breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend-affected systems
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and security documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during emergency response scenarios
- Conduct weekend system hardening and security patch implementations
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with SOC experience
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
