The Role:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with IT and engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement robust security measures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Investigate, contain, and remediate security breaches and incidents following established security protocols.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and recommend patches.
- Security Policy Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to internal security policies, industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA), and external standards.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malicious activities within the network.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and audit findings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CCNA Security certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, or similar), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and IDS/IPS.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Language: Must be fluent in English.
