Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies
- Prepare executive-level security reports and metrics for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation frameworks
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response, forensic investigation, and malware analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize high-pressure situations
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain (government contracts required)
