Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential intrusions.
- Conduct real-time analysis of network traffic and system logs to identify malicious activity.
- Perform threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to proactively secure systems.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and mitigate security breaches.
- Document findings and assist in the creation of security policies and playbooks.
- Support penetration testing initiatives and security audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH) during employment.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
