Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with SLA-driven protocols
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Document incident reports and remediation actions in compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security events
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and malware incidents
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
