Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber attacks.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement robust security policies and access controls.
- Perform threat hunting and deep-dive log analysis to proactively identify malicious activity.
- Document security incidents and create detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
