Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and anomalies in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware and ransomware attacks.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to design secure network architectures and infrastructure.
- Provide security awareness training to employees to reduce human error risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and firewalls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
