Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce and update enterprise security policies to ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and threat intelligence summaries for executive leadership.
- Perform security audits and provide remediation guidance for identified issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or SOC operations.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools including Splunk, FireEye, or similar SIEM platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during active incidents.
