Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events across the enterprise network using SIEM tools.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, including triage, containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
- Implement and maintain security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Produce detailed security reports and documentation for stakeholders and auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst or SOC role.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is a plus.
