Responsibilities
Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) to detect and respond to potential intrusions in real-time.Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify weaknesses in the network and applications.Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA frameworks.Lead incident response efforts, including forensics analysis, root cause determination, and post-incident reporting to stakeholders.Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems to enforce network segmentation and access controls.Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to reduce the risk of phishing and social engineering attacks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.3 to 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network operations.Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, GCIH, or GSEC are highly preferred.Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for security automation and log analysis.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and produce actionable reports.Excellent communication skills to convey technical security concepts to non-technical management.
