Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze logs to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Assist in the triage and containment of security incidents and cyber attacks.
- Conduct routine vulnerability scans and configure security patches for internal systems.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure secure network architecture and access controls.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate operational logs and reports.
- Respond to user inquiries regarding security policies, phishing awareness, and password management.
- Participate in red team exercises and tabletop simulations to test our defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH within the first 12 months.
- A valid driver’s license is required for occasional travel to client sites.
