Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner using SIEM tools.
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls and antivirus solutions.
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Conduct regular security compliance checks and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with the IT team to configure secure system settings and access controls.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration and command line.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain it within 6 months.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
