Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise infrastructure
- Develop incident response playbooks and coordinate breach mitigation activities
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS) with provided equipment
- Generate executive-level security reports and compliance documentation (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on threat detection experience
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to maintain TS/SCI clearance if required
