Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network architecture and infrastructure design.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensics and post-incident reporting.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and security trends to proactively enhance our defense posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Cybersecurity or SOC environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-site security assessments (as needed).
