Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security incidents
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using forensic tools
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and zero-trust frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
