Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructures
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds and proactively identify emerging risks
- Prepare compliance documentation for NIST, FISMA, and other regulatory frameworks
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Provide security awareness training to staff and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a regulated environment
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
