Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending remediation actions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards, reports, and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and industry compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
