Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards through regular audits and policy enforcement.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security guidance and training to staff to foster a culture of security awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or incident response.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security architectures.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and threat hunting.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
