Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM environment (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware analysis and unauthorized access attempts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches, configure firewalls, and harden network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and playbooks.
- Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential threats before they impact the network.
- Assist in penetration testing efforts and provide post-incident analysis reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC, Security Operations, or related technical role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or SSCP are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to security emergencies.
