Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) to identify and investigate potential security breaches.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and perform penetration testing to proactively identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents 24/7, ensuring minimal downtime and data exposure.
- Enforce and update security policies to ensure compliance with regulations such as SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff members to reduce human error-related security risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
