Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis and remediation documentation
- Implement and maintain security controls aligned with NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001 standards
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop security awareness training programs
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF) and log analysis
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to security incidents 24/7
