Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security alerts and anomalous activities
- Investigate and document security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement vulnerability patches and security controls
- Conduct threat hunting and proactive security analysis to identify emerging risks
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive-level security dashboards
- Stay current on threat intelligence and zero-day vulnerabilities through industry research
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 security operations environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
