Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-premise environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks, incident reports)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic analysis and root cause determination for security events
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Active DoD 8570 compliance (e.g., IAT Level II or higher)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
