Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop remediation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry trends through continuous research
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and incident response frameworks
- Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS security standards
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, ThreatConnect)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to document complex security events
